Sedum roof/Grass roof

Hi all

we just posted a story about the growth of grass roofs. The info was quite general. Does anyone have much experience of grass roofs, and can share that with us? I am interested in a few things

What material should be placed between the conventional roof and the grass?

How much heat insulation do they provide in winter?

Can you just use ordinary turf?
