ParticipantHello all. I need some advice on what pump I should use to bring water from my stream to a water tank that will sit outside my cabin. I will be running approx 100-150ft of black tubing down to the water. I would guess that the lowest to highest point is 35-50ft. Great site and thatnks in advance for your help.

ParticipantYou could look into “Ram Pumps” or “hydraulic Ram Pumps” or “solar water pumps”
The ram pumps have a high head and can give you around 50psi, they come in all sizes.
A ram pump does not need any power, electric, or fuel to run. Also the will run 24-7 and they only have two moving parts.
The only thing about a Ram Pump is that you need ten times the water flow that you want to pump (if you want 1gpm then you will need a stream that has 10gpm)
