Is there such thing as a power supply/capacitor that you can manually pump up full of energy with your bare hands and later plug appliances into it (computer, refrigerator) for use?
I could save a hell of a lot of money from the electric bill and get some exercise.
How about those hand cranked flashlights with a USB port for recharging cell phones.
AS for appliances good luck. It would be one heck of a work out.
Even pedal powered generators are not very effective. To get a better idea
Lowtechmagazine has some good articles on pedal power devices.
