I would like you to watch a movie called “into the wild” its based on a true story about a guy who does what your talking about—-Going alone with no knowledge about how to do things, or anyone with you is not a good idea– If your serious about going off the grid, please do research and lots of it. Your on this website which is a good place to start learning. Join an exsisting off the grid village so you can learn the life first, many of them have work exchange programs. Good luck Honey!!
let me know if you need any help

Well I am happy today because my core group of 5 has now grown to a core group of 8! Three more people have decided to join. (They were part of the undecided list before)— Village is growing yay!!!

I got your email! I sent you one back. I was thinking anywhere from 3-5 acres would do…keeping it 10 people or under at first, kind of growing as we go along. I think its important to not get too big too fast because things could implode if too many people involved too early on…Also it would give the original founders time to bond and build a lasting foundation for this village.

how many acres were you thinking would be needed? I am fine with having a large village eventually, but would like to start small and get new members over time….I want my village to be like family to each other like a tribe–with the understanding that we stick this out through thick and thin not matter what little arguments pop up. I want real people, who are “ride or die” types. You sound like a keep it real type of guy– so i will talk to my group–maybey get them to join the website so you can start to get to know others from my group–then we could see if we are all a match? what do ya think?

Wow–I am only in the research/planning stages of this journey and its been amazing already! I have got to talk to so many different people and educated them on what going off the grid means(the misconceptions that are out there would amaze you) I have many people who support me in my journey and are thinking about joining, and some people who say things like “your crazy” and “its too hard it cant be done”. My response to them is the same each time : “you will see how possible it is to become free”–I will continue on with the planning of this village no matter what! I really believe in and stand by my decision to go off the grid.

The size of the group I have seems to be growing by the week, there seems to be 2 reactions when i say I am going off grid reaction 1: “your crazy” reaction 2: “take me with you”. I have 5 in the main group, but I have a lot more who would join me if I do this right– I am doing lots of research and planning–I am doing fundraising and saving right now– But I am interested in a co-own(not against it)— email me at ladyapril777@gmail.com–so we can talk further?–

Ya, they are fishing your website–hoping to hook people for their own productions–Thats shady, and they are only out to exploit off the grid people anyway. excerpt from her bio which states : “Cook is often hired as a “creative sharpshooter” to brainstorm and implement innovative ideas for brands, networks, authors and production companies.”—- shes fishing

of course they portray our kind of people that way, they dont like the fact that some people are taking a stand, and making a change, it makes them uneasy… so they bash alternative minds and try to break their spirits–but they never will break because you cant break hope :)
