Im off grid.  you’r talking about what i used to do before i went off grid:  camping.

i have 2 tiny wires that were put in a week ago for this internet connection, before that it was just the big sat dish outside for the teli.

its called FTA, or free to air satelite, is that off grid? not quite sure. no bill attached to it .

so far its been 7 years mortage free and solar powered.

as a teenager i went camping for three months in the desert near the Lost Dutchman Mountain Range, lived of the earth, i didnt even think to call it off grid living. but thats a story unto itself.

Snowflake AZ. Navajo county is light on the touch with building your own place. temperate seasons,

Good wind, water, reasonably priced land what else do you need.

The little solar cabin is great, we have a dealer in town that sells “storage sheds” made by local mennonites, they have porches and come in sizes up to 24X24, just add plumbing and panels

Small is good “No Wife Killer Houses” as the Scots say.

if you see a drone over your house or property and you have no commited any crimes then its an illegal search and you can shoot it down.

most city areas the altitude restrictions on any flight vehicle that can be used to monitor the public is minimum 200 feet AGL.

allready been case tried. enjoy the target practice

Why dont you buy a new receiver like the amico 8240 HD and just get FTA satellite for the dish

and a nice multiband radio and ham licence for com, you can work a bit of internet on the radio with some additional equipment last i looked.

or you can set the dish up to track the space station and give them a holler.

    love the ham stuff.
