Off Grid Home › Forums › Technical Discussion › Solar power cost?
Yes, I have tried googling this, but it’s not really helping, as I think most of the prices I see around the internet are for people continuing a comfy existence with modern appliances, but just going solar.
I plan to live “extremely rural”, the only electricity I can imagine needing right now (I’m sure there will be some more, but not much) will be for a computer (laptop) and a freezer (for meat).
Location not decided yet, but probably in Spain.
What might this cost?
Hi Frida, did you end up finding out what it might cost you? I’m looking into installing solar for my tiny home. I live in a generally warm climate, but I don’t know how much sun you really need for solar to be 100% effective. Will I still generate power on overcast/rainy days?
Will you have a backup energy system? I want to be completely off the power grid, but with regulations in my area, it’s looking less and less likely. I’d love to know your thoughts!
