I would love to settle in a more northern part of Minnesota, center would be ok I guess, I’ll never have money for it though. In fact that’s kinda why I need to get out of normal society, it just isn’t a place I can survive in. I would need a community willing to take me in though. They should have a chat or something on here so people can talk… or maybe there is something and I just don’t know about it?

Justin first and foremost thank you for your leadership in the army. I myself was army. 11 bang bang baby!!!! Anyways off grid living is very much like survival of the fittest. So our survival skills are very valuable to have in a community operation. Many enjoy the dreams of living off grid but most wouldn’t make it unless they havr someone like us who know how to survive and protect what’s ours. If you are interested in an off grid life please feel free to contact me 405 747 0680 or via email countrythugromeo@gmail.com

Hello, my friend and I have always had a dream of starting a small like-minded community with people who share our dream of self-sustainable living. We aren’t exactly experienced at it but we’ve got heart and are very interested in leaving behind the money driven societal structure that has been built for us. To build a home and a place where we raise our own cattle and chickens and grow our own produce and just trade services and hard work with each other for whatever needs we cannot provide for ourselves.
Any like-minded people may contact us at anastasiascall@gmail.com

Hey, Another Minnesotan here… My husband and I are looking to live on land in Pine or Kanabec county (or near there) in Minnesota. We would love to buy land with others and share some of the burden of off-grid living. I, personally, love to raise animals (for meat, milk, eggs, fiber, etc.) but don’t like gardening as much. So, my crazy idea was to contact people on the internet to buy land together and live off-grid-community style. Shoot me an email if you are as crazy as we are :) capnsherve@gmail.com

Looking to go off grid as well.. Not so much for “mother earth” or to get away from “the rat race” but primarily to have a safe haven from Gov. oppression and the civil discourse i feel is soon on its way. I live in a Mpls. suburb and like most, have a very limited income. Looking for like minded people to possibly form a land co-op. Please reply if interested.

going off grid 1/2 by design , speeded up by current financial milleu.
Been off grid since oct 2011.
contact if interested in learning about.. some neighbors are offgrid.
quiet lives doing what they want .
talk is cheap. doing it takes effort , and making a decision.
voluntary simplicity is easier than forced depravation from earlier mind set.
evolve.. best served cold and without bright lights.

I’m a 20YO ND resident. I hate our materialistic, work-to-consume society. I’d rather find a simple, enjoyable life where my efforts matter.. and really, milk doesn’t come from the supermarket. If there’s other people who are interested in living off-the-grid near ND/MN, let’s get a community organized. Escape the unnecessary!

Was doing some research for off the grid living and I have become very interested in this.
I have property on the North Dakota/MN border on lake traverse the trailor is located on the lake and the back area is woodland (not owned by us) however it does give refuge for deer, turkey and other wild game. I am a ex us army sgt and have a good deal of survival training as well as weapon and combative knowledge, as well as being a combat life saver and other basic medical knowledge. I work currently as a Web Developer/ on hand computer tech repair. I am an outdoors type person when I get to be and find myself happier when I get the opportunity. I would definitely be interested in hearing your knowledge on this topic and how someone with my skills can be found useful in this type of living.

MN would be a tough go come October, although I am sure it can be done.
Born and raised in Roseau, MN. Although no longer there, I am very interested in OTG living.
Drop me an email, we can swap ideas if you like.
